Welcome to Heart Centered Flowers     

 

Hi, I’m Brenda. Here’s a little bit about my story. Have had a long and varied journey through the floral industry; over 30 years.  Amazing!! Many years spent in retail flower shops, which later led to positions in wholesale, floral sales rep, and now am happy to provide services within my own business.

Admittedly I am unable to walk past a flower shop without going in and checking their flowers, taking big long breaths of the ‘green’ smell.  You know what I mean, that distinctive earthy atmosphere. Also have a love affair with plants.  Growing up as a farm girl there has always been a need to fill my house with foliage. Friends often pass on struggling plants, which I’m happy to nurture and lovingly bring back to life.

It’s also fun to take old silk arrangements or artificial bridal bouquets and create a new piece. Creatively reconstruct and redo those pieces to fit into your home again.

My passion is serving each client with individual attention, providing one-on-one service.  Often there are so many stresses while organizing an event (wedding or funeral) therefore if I can assist and make the flowers as stress free as possible. Fine tuning the details.

Over the years I’ve recognized one of the most rewarding tasks has been working with families when a loss has occurred.  Flowers are an extension of your grief. My goal is to highlight the personality of your loved one.  For example, did he like to fish, then let’s incorporate a fishing rod.  Or was she an avid chef, let’s include wooden spoons and her favorite recipe. I would be honored to design and deliver a memorial piece that beautifully conveys your feelings and serves as a lovely tribute.

One of the biggest compliments a client can provide is to pass my name on to friends and family. I look forward to being able to provide beautiful floral pieces for the big events in your life.
